(ContentDesk via ContentDesk Direct) December 9, 2005 -- Giovanni Acerbi, a 37-year-old Italian and creator of a new Web site called "The Passing of Time," has been changing a lot during his life. In this new Web site Acerbi wants to follow his life course since birth and give other people the same opportunity, free of charge."As years go by, our faces change showing the marks of time. Let's accept it and let everybody see how we have been changing," says Acerbi. The idea is very simple: the only thing you have to do is to choose some of your photos and to create your own album in this site; if you want you can add a comment for each photograph so that every image can tell something more of your personal history. It won't be a surprise if a site like The Passing of Time will be visited by people of all kinds and ages who are ready to draw the world's attention to themselves in order to show their evolution. A face can tell many things and observing its real transformation as time goes by can be interesting, even amusing. If you feel like showing yourself to the world, register to the site, bring back your memories and create your own photo album on line; you may want to show your grandchildren in the future. For further information contact:http://www.thepassingoftime.com.

What's Your Right Photo Shade
Sometimes photos would appear a little frustrating especially when there is no transparency to match color. The reason to this is that printing companies have been slow in going with the flow to accommodate new images. They often stumbles through their conversions to CMYK which causes irreparable damage to the images. In the article When Good Color Goes Bad by Mike Davis, it enumerated some tips on how to seize the full potential of your digital images. Davis advised to work with digital photographers who can supply the following:1. FPO images for you to place in your layout plus the original raw files.
These contain the virgin pixel captures straight from high-end digital cameras, prior to any conversion to RGB or any subsequent processing/encoding. You will need someone skilled to handle them, though. 2. Properly tagged RGB tiff images -- again, a skilled operator will be needed for best results. 3.
CMYK tiffs prepared by a knowledgeable photographer. When feasible, separations...

How to photograph jewelry
Copyright (c) 2006 Sasha Petrovich
Photographing jewellery can be tricky, but with a few concepts and budget below US$500 it is possible to achieve near-professional look of the photographs. This guide is intended for absolute beginners. Terminology is simplified, and camera adjustments are discussed with only jewellery in mind.
1. Equipment
1.1 Digital SLR
Biggest spend for near-professional look of jewellery photography is for the digital SLR. This is an absolute must.
Second-hand camera will be as good. Camera without many features and without high Mega-Pixel rate will work just as fine. 3 Mega Pixel is more than enough.
Note that what makes the difference is the quality of the optical system, not the number of actual pixels.
Digital SLR will allow you to manually adjust every aspect of the camera. Automatic modes are not appropriate for jewellery.

Introducing PASSPORT Host Datastream Class Library
Zephyr is pleased to announce the introduction of the PASSPORT Host Datastream Class Library (HDCL), a programmatic integration server that offers developers direct access to the 3270, 5250 and VT datastream (both display and host printer sessions). Using the Zephyr solution with TN3270, TN5250 and VT220 communications, programmers can build advanced host print servers, migrate LUA RUI applications from SNA to IP, which in turn can eliminate the need for IBM and Microsoft SNA gateways, and much more. As an example of the potential use of the Zephyr product, many organizations continue to use host printing, whether from an IBM zSeries mainframe, iSeries AS/400 midrange or UNIX server. Using PASSPORT HDCL, a developer could take a standard IBM 3287 LU 1 or 3 mainframe host printer session and programmatically output the information to multiple formats, including PDF, HTML, fax or file. This requirement can be found in banks, hotels, car rental agencies, hospitals, universities and state...

Choosing The Right Vacuum Cleaner
According to history, the first vacuum cleaner actually wasn't a vacuum cleaner at all, it was a carpet sweeper. The inventor was a man by the name of Daniel Hess who in 1860 patented a machine that had rotating brushes on the bottom and bellows to generate suction. There is however no evidence that this machine was ever produced. It would be some forty plus years later, in 1908, that Mr. James Spangler of Canton, Ohio would receive a patent for the first electric portable vacuum cleaner.
